Here’s some takeaways from some of the top rated air fryers on Amazon.
Avalon Bay Air Fryer
The Avalon Bay is a workhorse type of air fryer. Not much on looks with its analog dials, but it gets the job done. It’s lightweight, which is great for anyone that needs to store it away.
The 3.7 quart capacity makes it ideal for cooking up two to three servings of a dish or about a one-pound bag of fries.
It does have an auto shutoff feature; It stops when you pull out the basket to toss the food. When you put the basket back into the oven, the temperature and time pick up where it left off.
What’s Not to Like
Some buyers are reporting that the non-stick coating on their basket is coming off. It doesn’t matter how safe the coating is, no one wants unidentifiable black flakes of machined material showing up in their food.
Now, no one knows how some people are actually washing their baskets. Common sense would tell you that if something is baked onto a surface, you should let it soak before attempting to scrub it.

T-Fal FZ7002 Actifry Air Fryer
Simple to use. Paddles flips the food automatically. You simply place the food in their basket and set the countdown timer based on the instructions in the recipe booklet.
No need to remove the basket and shake the food intermittently like you do with most air fryers.
If you need something that’s foolproof, this is probably the one to go with. However, like self-driving cars, relinquishing control means giving up the chance for creativity.
What’s Not to Like
Reviews on T-Fal’s customer service is taking a beating. The bottom line here is that this air fryer isn’t lasting much longer than a year. At that time, the warranty has expired.
Most small appliances don’t last more than two to three years these days, so it’s up to you if the convenience is worth it.
